Munàh’s original music is deeply rooted in her Cape Verdean and Portuguese heritage, drawing on the languages, stories and experiences that have shaped her. Her songs explore themes including womanhood, love, grief, strength, belonging, gratitude and transformation.

The song Kriolas, rooted in Cape Verdean identity and celebrating the strength and legacy of Cape Verdean women, became the seed from which the wider Kriola Di Força movement was born.
