Kriola Di Força Movement

Kriola Di Força was born from the song Kriolas, a celebration of Cape Verdean women, their identity, strength and legacy.

What began through music grew into a movement bringing Cape Verdean women together in Cabo Verde and across the diaspora to connect, share their stories, strengthen their voices and walk alongside one another.

At its heart is a simple belief: women should not have to navigate life, growth and change alone.

Created as a celebration of Cape Verdean women, the song became the starting point for conversations around identity, strength, belonging and the experiences that connect us across generations and borders. 

Kriola Di Força brings Cape Verdean women together across countries, generations and different stages of life. Women can connect through online and in-person gatherings, conversations, Kriola Di Força Circles, workshops, events and shared experiences.

The movement is not tied to one platform or one place. It grows wherever Cape Verdean women choose to connect, contribute and create community together.

Kriola Di Força continues to grow through an online community bringing Cape Verdean women together across countries and generations.

Our community space on Skool offers a place to stay connected, take part in monthly gatherings, join conversations around themes affecting Cape Verdean women and, at times, hear from invited guests who bring knowledge, experience and different perspectives to the community.

It is also one of the spaces where Kriola Di Força Circles are being developed, encouraging women to create meaningful connections within their own cities and communities.

As the movement grows, so will the opportunities to connect, learn, contribute and meet both online and in person.

Through Munàh Talks, Munàh creates space for honest conversations with women about identity, life experiences, resilience, change, purpose and the realities that shape who we become.

Selected conversations also reflect themes that sit closely alongside the Kriola Di Força movement, giving women another way to listen, reflect and connect through shared experience.

Kriola Di Força is a movement centred on Cape Verdean women, identity, belonging and connection.

Our wider social-impact work with women and girls from PALOP and Lusophone communities is developed through Kriola Di Força CIC, a UK-registered Community Interest Company.
